About Us

Located in Mount Dora, Fla., National Deaf Academy serves Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals in need of psychiatric and/or educational services.

With the addition of a new dormitory, NDA's residential psychiatric treatment facility now serves 48 children and adolescents as well as 84 adults. Living areas have many of the comforts of home, with private bathrooms in every bedroom. In addition, NDA has a state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot gymnasium and activity center.

Though we embrace a total communication model that encourages our patients to develop additional methods of communication, American Sign Language (ASL) is the primary language used on campus.
